JB-GREEN & JBi Traditional Roofing Battens
JB-GREEN is our traditional standard roofing batten and is always moulded for easier handling on site. An initial pre-grade is carried out during manufacture, and the battens require a final grade on site for knots and wane, signified by the grade mark TB33.
All JB-GREEN roofing battens are either FSC or PEFC certified. View Roofing Batten Dimension and Sizes available.
The JBi range of roofing battens are typically manufactured in the UK but to ensure a high quality, but economic roofing batten, pre-manufactured roofing battens may be sourced from the Baltic States. This production is still subject to John Brash’s exacting quality standards. JBi can be either sawn or moulded.
JB-GREEN and JBi are manufactured from European Red or Whitewood. The batten is treated with Osmose Naturewood® to BS 8417:2011 Usage Class 2; to give a 60 year guarantee against insect attack and wood rotting fungi (when installed correctly in accordance with the requirements of Usage Class 2).
