JB Antislip Plus decking, with three inserts, has been used on the Ł1.1m Nutwell Boardwalk in Exmouth. The scheme consists of a bridge and cycle path along the Exeter to Exmouth railway line. The decking helped create a 550m long boardwalk for cyclists and walkers in this beautiful part of South Devon. The complete boardwalk solution included matching Redwood handrails, kickrails, spindles, noggins and posts to create a safe and attractive boardwalk. Users of ‘Nutwell Boardwalk’ will be able to enjoy an elevated view of the stunning estuary area. Located alongside the River Exe estuary, Devon County Council decided that a timber boardwalk would be the most suitable material; this is due to its low ecological impact and naturally attractive appearance, which is in keeping with the rural and wetland landscape that defines the area.
