Completion Date:  August 2008

Project Information:  80,000 linear metres of Western Red Cedar Cladding was used on all external aspects of the properties, to create 75 modern looking and sustainable homes.  The material was chosen as it is beautifully decorative and provides a warm, vibrant and insulative finish.

Western Red Cedar Cladding was an integral part of helping these properties meet their green build requirements, as part of the Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH). This is because Western Red Cedar has an A+ rating for sustainability in the BRE’s 2008 Green Guide to Specification. This is the highest environmental rating awarded by the BRE.  The homes demonstrate that building sustainability does not mean having to compromise on design. Surrounded by woodland, Western Red Cedar Cladding will also help the new properties to blend seamlessly with their surroundings.
