Based entirely in the UK, John Brash has Europe’s only dedicated roofing batten scanning line. We use modern, automated timber treatment plants; machine grading for scaffold boards and promise a superior quality control process from timber machining through to preservation.

Our fully graded roofing batten JB-RED, uses a system of camera and laser scanning to grade the batten. A pigmented treatment then gives the batten its recognisable colour.

John Brash is the only company in the UK where roofing battens are manufactured, treated and certified to BS 5534 at a UK location, under stringent UK regulations. This operation supports 115 UK manufacturing jobs.

All JB-RED is manufactured under a third party product quality assurance scheme; presently the Building Research Establishments (BRE) Tickmark Scheme. We undertake regular audits of the process and product to ensure full compliance.
